Safety & risk

Leverage changes everything. Including risk.

Understand exposure and how small price moves can consume your stake.

Multiply the exposure

A $100 stake at 10x represents $1,000 of exposure. Before fees and execution effects, a 1% adverse price move corresponds to roughly 10% of your stake. Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains.

The whole stake remains at risk

Moon says a bet closes when its loss reaches the original wager. Greater leverage brings that threshold closer to entry. A rough adverse-move estimate is 100 divided by leverage, expressed as a percentage: about 10% at 10x.

Use the actual max-loss price

That approximation ignores fees, execution and platform-specific calculations. It is not an exact liquidation price or a leverage recommendation. Inspect Moon’s displayed max-loss price and current terms. Small movements can rapidly consume your entire wager.
